“Don’t Reach For The Bottle And Don’t Pull The Plug” – A Poem: Someone Out There Really Cares
In the last post, What To Do When You Feel Alone, I spoke about 3 ways to get someone on your side. While recording the video, I thought of a song I had composed for my friend when she was going through a rough time. And although I don’t feel comfortable singing it for the public, I’m happy to share the verses here.

Lyrics:
When you’re feeling sad, alone, and depressed
When life gets so hard and it’s hard to move on
When all is a battle you know you must lose
And you wish you could stop the pain and abuse
When the road is too rocky and you can’t see the way
And you think you can’t make it through one more day
When the whole world is dark and you’re too sad to care
Don’t give up; don’t despair
Don’t reach for the bottle and don’t pull the plug
Don’t ever let go and don’t give up
Cuz there’s someone out there who really cares
Someone who loves you too much
DON’T REACH FOR THE BOTTLE AND DON’T PULL THE PLUG
DON’T EVER LET GO AND DON’T GIVE UP
CUZ THERE’S SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO REALLY CARES
SOMEONE WHO LOVES YOU TOO MUCH
My Friend Didn’t Pull The Plug
Thank God, my friend didn’t let go and she’s living a most wonderful life of her choice now.
I’d love to hear what choices YOU’RE making and how you’re coping with the pain. Comment below!
